Dr. Nirav Raval is a highly skilled, board certified cardiologist, whose specialties include advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation. Dr. Raval came to the AdventHealth Transplant Institute, formerly Florida Hospital Transplant Institute, from the Piedmont Heart Institute in Atlanta, GA, where he served as Medical Director of the Heart Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Device Program. Previous to that role, he was Medical Director of Critical Care at the Piedmont Heart Institute and Co-Director of the Heart Failure Center at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, also in Atlanta, GA.
Education
Dr. Raval received a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Life Sciences from Kent State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Pre-Med program, and earned his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at the Washington University School of Medicine, where he earned the Residency Leadership Award. Dr. Raval completed both a fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation and in Cardiovascular Diseases at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA.
